The new British Standard introduces much more vigorous physical performance requirements than previously. This has resulted in various changes in components to meet the new standard. Acrylics will be at least 10% thicker than before and will withstand impact forces much better without cracking.
They are not unbreakable, however, so avoid describing them as such. A full range of sizes are being established with some changes taking place to the popular square plates in order to provide space for the Euroflag option.
The Acrylics are despatched in shrink wrapping in order to keep them clean and to avoid scratching. They are clearly marked for use under BS AU 145d regulations.
